Stay Strong on Pirate FM

Posted on: November 21, 2013 By:

As part of Anti-Bullying Week, Stay Strong founder Amy was interviewed on Cornwall’s favourite radio station, Pirate FM, by breakfast presenters Neil and Tina this morning.

In the honest and open interview, Amy revealed the impact bullying has had on her life and what she is doing to help others to not suffer in silence.

Neil and Tina, having both experienced bullying themselves, were amazed by Amy’s confidence and ambition, calling her a ‘local hero’. The radio duo also donned Stay Strong wristbands in a photo that appears on the Pirate FM website and Twitter.

Amy’s campaign aims to raise awareness of bullying and she even gave a direct message to bullies, saying: “Just think about what you are putting that person through – if it was yourself, you wouldn’t want to be down at that level, so just don’t do it!”
